.,. , , To provide their listeners with a more informative and entertaining 1967-68 season, WNTH introduced a series of specials on such provocative and diverse subjects as cancer, social security, VD, and civil rights. In addition to these programs, a staff of 50 helped the station, located at 88.1 on the FM dial, maintain its format of broadcasting football games, music concerts, plays, and West's memorable moments. soundtracks Marji Black, editor-in-chief Mr. Mages, sponsor Soundtracks was designed to capture the spirit and sounds of the school year on tape. Keeping this objective in mind, the Soundtracks staff listened to more than ten miles of tape, finally cutting this down to a 30-minute record. This year's record differed from all others in Sound- tracks' 3-year history, because for the first time, the record was one continuous band. As Editor Marji Black noted, The students were our cast and the narrator kept things flowing. To produce the record, three committees worked separately for the first half of the year, unifying their efforts in the spring. Jon Finson and the technical staff appeared at all major school events with their little tape recorders, co-heads of script Bruce Sweet and Bill Kroeger wrote dialogue for the record, and Debbie Gold and the publicity committee printed posters and sold the records. Moral support was lent by sponsor Mr. Samuel Mages. The result: an audio history of a memorable school year. BOARD Front: Joy Fisher, office managerf Debby Gold, head of publicity.
