During the course of the year, four important drives were conducted in collaboration with the Girls Club. These were the Russian War Relief Drive, the Book Drive for American War Prisoners, Christmas gifts for the Fort Sheridan soldiers, and the Red Cross War Fund Drive. A wide program of activities was carried out during the year, including the ever-popular Tri- Ship dances, the Athletic Dinner held in the fall, the Father and Son Banquet which came early in the spring, and perhaps the most outstanding feature, 6'Lagniappe,', the student 'talent show. Row 3: Jeangerard, Manning, Spangler, Adams, Vogl. 0 This year the club, through the Service Register Commit- tee, presented the school with two large service boards con- taining the names of all the alumni in the armed forces and a memorial plaque dedicated in honor of those from New Trier lost in the armed service of our country. Among the numerous service organizations sponsored by the Tri-Ship Club are the Usher Corps, the Doorguards, the Information Desk Staff, the Library Monitors, the Traflic Squad, and the Cheerleader Corps. A great deal of credit should go to the club,s sponsors, Mr. Frisbie and Mr. Gannaway, the latter of whom was called into the Army during the middle of the year.
