The meetings were spent in learning more about Spain through motion pictures and by talks given hy both students and adults. 0 The German Club, in spite of the war, is still a thriving club. It gives an excellent chance for students to acquaint themselves with the German culture, in order to make a more lasting peace after the war. The club not only studies the art, music, and literature of the old Germany but also the German people of today. I The Latin Club was originally started by Latin students who were interested in learning more about the Romans and is fash- ioned after the old Roman government, complete with consuls, praetors, etc. The members adopt Roman names and the magis- trates wear togas. Every year an exchange meeting is held with the Evanston Latin Club, and this year it was held at New Trier. This proved to he one of the most popular meetings of the season. 0 The French Club is one of New Trier's most popular clubs. Its programs consist of lectures, skits in French, slides of French life, singing and frequent talks by outside speakers, well-informed on France. Second semester the French Club published a magazine, 64Le Flambeauf' which contained French stories, poems, jokes, and crossword puzzles. Miss Jackson is the sponsor of the club.
