On fhe firsf day of school we sold candy and pop for 23 I l fhe sfudenfs, and prepared a plafe lunch- eon for members of fhe faculfy. l-lof dogs, pop, and faffy apples were on sale af fhe foofball games, and some of fhe gi-rls 'carried baskefs of candy around, averaging abouf fhree dollars profif a nighf, af fhe plays and fhe opera. All fhese enferprises were mosf successful. A bake sale given by fhe freshmen girls under fhe efficienf direcforship of fhe financial chairman, Beffy l-lerrick, neffed fhe club abouf sixfy dollars for ifs scholar- ship fund. Anofher imporfanf money- making plan which fhe girls have evolved for adding fo our scholarship fund fhis' year is a combinafion bridge parfy and fashion show. which is scheduled for a lafer dafe, somefime in lvlay.
