Sinding Stun Schuman Rossman llnckcry put on in the gymnasium and such famous radio stars as Pratt and Sherman and Clara Lu n Em made personal appearances at New Trier This produc tion was a decided success The most 1mportant project of the Tr1 Ship Club was its charity work The club helped many boys to stay in school by the use of funds in the treasury and all profits were devoted to this purpose A Christmas Charity Drive was put on shortly before vacation and gifts of food and money were presented to deserving f3I'l'1lll9S on the North Shore The club also aided the Curls Club in collecting the sandwiches for the Northwestern Settlement each week speaker was presented on February 20 The Tri Ship Club was fortunate to secure so distinguished a man as Dr Beebe In March the most outstanding banquet of the year was held On this occasion the club was host to the Mothers and Sons of New Trier 'md the guest speaker was the celebrated Indiana humorist Jess Pugh xx ho topped off an evening of exccllent enter tainment The Tri Ship Club was host to the high schools of Illinois early in th year when a State Conference of High School Clubs was held at New Trier A Ping Pong Tournament was also sponsored during this tlme The Usher Corps headed by Sam Rockwell lent its effective services throughout the year at plays lectures musicales etc Nickel movies were held during lunch periods throughout the winter and these proved to be very popu lar w1th New Trier students The Honor Study Hall which was held in th TRI SHIP REPRESENTATIVES T An interesting lecture by William Beebe, famous scientist and fascinating , .
