CLASS HISTORY We, the class of 1958, are proud to wr1te our h1story We hope that lt w1ll remmd us 1n t1me to come of our carefree school days and of our many fr1ends and teachers ln September of 1946 on a beaut1ful Flor1da morn 1ng the SCHIOTS of 1958 made the1r f1rst school ap pearance The fr1ghtened f1rst graders startmg at Faulkner Street Elementary were Bob Baker Valann Boucher Mary Evans Elame DeF1sher Donald Goodson L tr1c1a H1QhSUllth, Laurxlla Howle, Burton Jordon Tommy Lee Patr1c1aLov1ng B1ll Meares Walter MIHLOH, Polly Anne MOFTIS, Joyce Palmer jlmm Sharpe, Nancy Walker and Sue Warren start1ng at LIVE Oak Elementary were Charles Brown Robert Cooke Del1a Hemmgway, Peter Klep B111 K1ng and Robert Watson Our second grade year was spent ID grow1ng up We were no longer f1rst grade bab1es but 'second grade adults One of our favor1te jokes was Do you l1ke gravy 7 You f1rst grade baby Jo1n1ng us 1n t1me to laugh at th1S Joke was Bob Hanna In the t.h1rd grade, we welcomed Devonne V1ckery We were beg1nn1ng to be more and more puzzled by those numbers we were supposed to put together or take apart The fourth grade just Whllled by' We were half way through elementary school jommg us 1n the f1fth grade were Nancy Holley from Fort P1erce and Ray Powell from Fayettevllle Penn sylvan1a In the s1xth grade we welcomed Carole Poehler from New jersey and Albert Tomaz1n from Samsula They were Just 1n t1me to attend our f1rst b1g event, the S1Xth grade graduat1on CXCFCISCS Our class was f1rst un1ted 1n the seventh grade for we were all attend1ng our alma mater, The LIVE Oak Street I-hgh School Those Jo1n1ng us were Georgxann Ford from Daytona, Duane Golden from Cumberland Maryland Roger Harmon Karen Lundstrom from New jersey, and Mona Mosher from Massachusetts Two Northern fr1ends Barbara Crow from Detro1t M1ch1gan and Mary Blake from Ham1lton, Oh1o Jo1ned us 1n the e1ghth grade We greeted a lot of newcomers 1n the n1nth grade Those rece1v1ng the welcome were Karlene Bethea from Daytona Ed Swann from Atlanta, Georg1a W1lbur Turner from Everglades, Flonda johnette Cochran BCTDICS l-Iarr1s Fredd1e jones BObb16 Lou Tumer, and An1ta Wheeler all of Oak H111 Our sophomore year was full of expectat1ons W were QFOWIDQ up and the world was ours' Many new faces were seen 1n our Jumor year Those faces belonged to Regg1e Ashley, formerly of San ford john Browmng of Pennsylvama, Frank1e Em er1ne Ralph Fras1er from Ind1ana joe Hudnell of North Carol1na Barbara Larson, formerly of Mount Dora, Flor1da Roger Maler from New York Thom as McK1nney of Deland Denn1s O'Rourke from WISCOHSID, Pat Shockey, formerly of Cal1forn1a Pete Suder of M1ssour1 and Ron Sw1ndl1ng from Oh1o jommg us 1n our last and most wonderful year were john Godbey from West V1rg1n1a, Nancy jones from Ind1ana Lorra1ne Seeney from Massachusetts and Earl Wallace frorr M1SSOuFl We are all 1nd1v1duals From many d1fferent places But the shar1ng of our sen1or year C 1rcles and embraces Page Enght 7 . y ' - . , - - 1 S S 1 9 1 1 1 u' 1 ' , ' J l 7 I ' , y , 7 S ' J I 7 I 5 S - S Y 7 ! . .
