FRANCES GARAFOLA To everyone who knew him, Phillip Rane was characterized by sincerity and integrity. He showed a deep concern for others which was demonstrated in everything he did. Always willing to help his friends, Phil often took their problems upon himself, and was never content until a solution was found. Perseverance was one of Philis dominant traits. He found his studies to be most challenging, and he never permitted other activities to take precedence over them. A consistent B-I-J' student, Phil was a member of the New Rochelle High School Scholar- ship Club. Phil was an active participant in extra-curricular activities as well. Intramurals provided him with a major source of enjoyment, and he was a member of teams in all sports. Phil loved music and sang in choir throughout his school career. His interest in music was furthered by his study of the piano for several years. Phillip Ranc was a person who would have accom- plished much in his lifetime. His absence is felt, not only by his family and close friends, but by everyone even remotely associated with him. PAGE 16 lln illllrmnrtam We will always remember Frances Qarafola with admiration. We will long recall her friendliness, her sincerity, her excellence as a student. Most of all we will remember with deep respect her quiet cour- age in the face of personal tragedy. Frances was a line student and a participant in many activities. A scholarship club member, Frances did very well in all her subjects and was especially outstanding in mathematics. Her school activities in- cluded intramurals, chorus, and safety patrol. We, the classmates of Frances Garafola, are proud and fortunate to have known her. The memory of her indomitable spirit will be a lasting inspiration to us all. PHILLIP RANC
