ommencement The twenty-seventh annual commencement of the N. R. H. S. was held on Thursday, May 23, 1957 in the school auditorium. Musical selections were rendered by the orchestra and vocal groups. Ieananne I-lark and Barbara Wel- born offered the salutatorian and valedictorian ad- dresses. The graduation address was given by Daniel Leary, Ph. D. ot the University of Dayton. The evening's high-light Was reached when President Clouse of the Board of Education present- ed the diplomas to the graduation class. IUNIOR-SENIOR PROM The annual lunior-Senior Prom was held on April 27, in the high school auditorium. As the door to the auditorium was opened and the Iunior class president, Carolyn I-lohman, usher- ed in the feculty and the Seniors, they were greet- ed with music from th'e Iunior orchestra, consisting of Iudy Lauer, piano, Therese Clouse, Clarinetp Anna Theis, violin, Arlene Williams, accordionp Iere Carrick, drumsg and Thomas Goshe, electric guitar. They were served the first course from a Wishing Well. They then proceeded to the tables Where the rest of the meal was served. The or- chestra gave an enjoyable fifteen minutes of music. Iames Collet served as master of ceremonies, introducing the Pixies and Elves on the program of Fantasylancl. Carolyn Hohman welcomed the guests and Ieananne l-lark gave an appropriate response. lane Mathias read the Senior history, Dolores Rein- hart gave their last will and testament. Thomas Goshe gave the prophecy. Mr. Durbin made a few appropriate remarks. The program closed with the singing of the school song.
