Terry Evans, Jim Glueck, Jetty Adams, Lois Brewsaugh, Gayle Wingo, Patsy Patinet. The effective Student Council serves three publics: the administration. the student body, and the community. This past year the New Richmond Student Council has worked in all three areas. In aiding the administration, council helped to schedule student activities and to bring the students' permanent records up-to-date by devising a student activities form. In co-operation with the student body. the Student Council initiated the Homecoming Parade and planned the Homecoming ceremonies. Another project was the Student of the Month, designed to honor one outstanding student each month. Also for the first time, vot- ing booths were used in Student Council elections. In the last phase of Student Council work the council volunteered its services in the Let's Paint the Whole Bloomin' Town campaign and in the March of Dimes drive. Among honors that came to council this year were election of Wesley Redfield as presi- dent of E. H. L. and Pam Tucker as secretary of E. H. L. Also our council was very active in League. Area. State and National Student Councils. Y-TEENS FIRST ROW, Left to Right: Josephine Helm, Edwina Flood. Along with the usual high school choral repertoire, the Senior Chor- us and the Opera Workshop have presented such notable works as Handel's Messiah, and Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors. An outgrowth of artistic achievement from the vocal department has been the formation of Les Chanteurs. t' Invitations for performances by Les Chanteurs have been received even from the Cincinnati area. Socially and culturally minded. the Clef Club and the Glee Club attended the Russian Bolshoi Ballet , Camelot , and the Peter Nero Triot' with the Cincinnati Symphony, The C1efC1ub sponsored aString Quartet from Miami University at their annual silver tea. The Junior Vocal classes consisting of the Freshmen and Eighth Grade choruses under the direction of Mr. Larry Allee, explore the choral repertoire in preparation for their upper division of vocal music.
