In casting we found tlnt Bob Yo.1ld nake a magnlfifent Tom Sawyer and what a splendld ra., edy HL k Finn Ieslie would be. The serious old lady Aunt Polly seemed suited fo Wanda until the play go' sw funny she just nad to i ffle vi h the rest. Polly was vegy well suited to the part of the loving ard wivacious Mary. The shy little girl wlth her big XVHG of Guin Becky Thatcher just fi ted Dorothy Mrs. Qereny Harper acted by Elaine was alwalys worried n fUl'EV'Il' shedding tears for her son Joe played by Red who seemed hr'ou,hly to njoy k epi. his Mother in suspense. Susy first weeping for her lot brother and next blarninp her rncther for the tra dies u as -:leterly played by Eula, Of course we wont forg-t the gotsiper of 'he town Widov' Doufrlas performed by Rozella. Jim the superstitious negfro acted by Jesse know some- thin' was g'win to happen. And the Sheriff played by Jerry was a bit gentle for .a deputy.
