With his knowledge of his subject, Mr. Williams gives his students a better than average background in American history. He guides the finances of the Delphian. He is also one of the Honor Club advisers. English 10, Business English-FLORENCE L. BEABER, Ph. B. With her quiet manner and good speech she teaches her students by example as Well as by precept. She has charge of the photographic work in the Delphian and advises the Tips-to-Teens Triangle of the Girl Reserves. Latin, English - STELLA RUTLEDGE, A. B. llliss Rutledge helps Latin Club members learn more about the cus- toms of the ancient Romans. She also guides the Girl Reserves in their many projects. English - MAE BAKER, A. B., A. M. YVith her pleasant personality she wins her students to her side and pro- vides them with an excellent knowledge of English literature. He is one of the Forum Club advisers. BooH'f'f'l1i11g, Typing II Shorthanrl-NIARGARET lll. STEINER, ' B. S. in Ed. lvliss Steiner is in the Commercial Department of the high school. She is thoroughly capable of handling her subjects and is admired very much by her students. She directs the Handicraft Triangle' of the Girl Reserves and is a junior class adviser. Shorthand, Typing-DELBERT C. PHILLIPS, B. S. in Ed. Nlr. Phillips is regarded by all of his students as a pleasant adviser and friend. His students like him and give him their best work. Mr. Phil- lips helps advise the senior class. Bookkeeping, Business Urganizotion, Salesinanship- DEO G. STEFFEN, B. S. in Ed. He does his part in producing future secretaries and is in charge of the Commercial Club. He grounds his students with a thorough knowledge of business matters. He is also one of the Forum Club advisers. Sociology, flfathemrztirs-HUGH M. HOWEY, B. S., M. of Ed. He proves a good pal to the Hi-Y boys and provides many good times for the boys in this club. She supervises the Dance Committee which has had charge of the delightful dances given throughout the year. She is one of the ed- itorial advisers of the Delphian. . bww ff Head Football Coach, History-W. VV. HAYES, A. B. In his second year as head football coach of N. P. H. S. Mr. Hays has turned out an undefeated team-one of the state's best. He has come to be liked and respected by the boys for his leadership and ability. Head Basketlrall Coach, Physical Education-- PAUL HOERNEMAN, A. B. Although young, Coach Hoerneman is certainly not inexperienced. For the second straight year he has produced a winning basketball team, this year an undefeated state championship team. He is a reg- ular fellow with his team and is well liked by all. Industrial Arts- PEARSON PUGH, B. S. in Agr. Mr. Pugh has shown himself to be a capable instructor, and his boys graduate with a thorough knowledge of Industrial Arts. He equips his students with a practical knowledge of mechanics. 1 1 industrial Arts-CHESTER O. MILLS, B. S. in Ed., M. A. hir.
