CLASS PROPHECY In thts nrneteen hundred and srxty elghth year of our Lord we are through college and just getttng started rn our 11fe work Honorable Senators Beverley Stahley and Marcta Wrse from Indrana are cltmbmg aboard our Inter Planatory Rocket for a VISII to the Unrted States Colony on the Moon Congress has just recessed and traveling wtth us ts Representatrve Mearlene Grabtll from the Moon Metropolts The Space Cadet tn charge of ptlotrng the rocket IS Thomas Wmeland From the space communrcatrons tower Darlene Gall reports the rocket wrll ftre up tn ftve mlnutes We ftnd seats and fasten our safety belts We talk wrth other passengers on board and frnd that Sandra Worttnger and Janrce Brzzarl accompanled by thetr husbands are golng to the Moon on busrness We are reported out of the Earth s atmosphere by Second Cadet Marven Whetten Stewardesses Betty Juday and Judy Mtshler brlng lunch around and we chat wtth them of New Parts Htgh School days We are comrng near the Moon now There seems to be some drffrculty tn landrng because of some flyrng saucers plloted by Donald Keck and Wade Weldy tn our path Space Patrolman Btlly Mrshler rs clearing a space now Here at the Space port Kay Etsenhour and Sharon Metzler gtve us oxygen helments because of the Moon s lack of an atmosphere Mechantcs Mrchael Lamb and John Holltnger come out to check over the Rocket We could not talk wxth them because of our helments and the lack of arr rf tt were not for the tngenlus Radar Radlo Invented by Thomas Tarman The founder of the Moon colony LaVerne Mlller comes out to welcome us He ts gotng to show us some of the htghlrghts around the colony Ftrst the oxygen machrne tnvented by Chemrst Kathleen Weldy operates on Solar Batterles This furnrshes oxygen for all of Greater Earthvrlle The street department has a very rmportant Job be cause lf the streets are not kept clean the people on Earth wrll complam because the Moon ts not shrmng Joanne Hoffer and Beverly Berkey are co charrwomen of the Streets Must Shtne at Ntght Commrsslon Steven Mtshler has the Lonestar newspaper Hrs asslstant edttor Gordon Mrller IS to cover the basketball game Earth team New Parts Independents versus Vemce tomght Davrd Smoker tnforms us that Earthvtlle IS on Moon Shtne Savlng ttme all year round now We are now going to tank up wrth food at the F8LW Fervtda and Weybrrght Restaurant owned and operated by Ltnda Weybrrght and Jamce Fervlda They feature Green Cheese from the Moon Those people from Vemce have really taken to our game of basketball Why half the populatton must be here from Vemce for the game' We purchase tlckets from Marlene Ktrkdorffer at the trcket booth We meet the Vemce Engltsh translator for the benefrt of the Ventctan people The baskets here are 20 feet htgh as a 200 pound person on earth wetghs only 35 pounds here on Moon The players are about to start to get ready to commence to begtn the basketball game The referees Ronald Kerltn and Henry Beachy are explatntng the rules to the captatns James Neff and Ronald Brooktns are the forwards Rtchard Htbschman and Robert Mtller guards are a few of the players on the New Parts Independent team Broadcasttng the game are Marctle Ramer tn Venlctan and Dorothy Warble rn Engltsh Durtng the game we see the blg Partsrans dunk the ball and do some fantasttc plays The Parlsrans come out on top wrth a flnal score of U' to '17 tn Vemctan of course John Holltnger Sponsor EXCHANGE PUBLISHING CO EXCHANGE PUBLISHING CO - S n s , . . . , .
