SALUTATORY Members of the Faculty Parents Classmates and Friends We the Senior Class of 1957 wish to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all of you who have made these four years of study a success These four years we have spent together as a class were the most carefree and rewarding days of our lives Tonight we have reached our goal for we have successfully completed four years of high school work For many of us this will be our last formal edu cation We are now prepared to fight in the great battle of life the battle in which only the best will survive It makes a lump come to our throats and a tear to our eyes as we think of the old friends and as to the problems of life which we must face Many times we have asked the question What rs the use of studying algebra English government or htstory'P but tonight we face the uncharted trails of life and we are made to realize that these subjects are guide posts along our way Classmates we are entering into a world where there are many challenges and opportunities boon after the turn of the century the Wright brothers met a challenge of their age when they invented the airplane They had dreamed for years that men could conquer the air as the birds George Washington and his associates met the challenge of their day when they won the freedom that we so often take for granted today We the graduating class are also faced with many challenges and opportunities such as in the fields of medicine electronics interplanetary flight and chemistry Whatever vocation you choose may it be of service to all man kind and to an ever present and loving God May we always be able to say that we are Not at the top but climbing Marvin Kreider Complrments of NEW PARIS LOCKER 84 MARKET 19 E W f fl sociates that we will be leaving, but tomorrow we will be seeking new avenues of interest and approaches I I I l A - I' I t I I I l Q ' .
