Senior Class History When we entered New Paltz High School as freshmen it seemed like paradise compared to the Middle School. U t’ had open Study Halls, a juke box, and soda machines. These things have since ceased to exist, yet we still leave the school in a little better shape than when we entered. During the time our class has been a part of N.P.H.S., the school has experienced some of its greatest lionors-of which we contributed greatly. Our athletic teams have been incredible. The girls' track team won the league title and held it for several years. In our Junior year, the football team clenched the league title as did the soccer team for the first time in New Paltz history. The wrestling team continued its five year reign as league champions. The gymnastics team preformed outstandingly and won the I9S0 sectionals; while the boys basketball team went to the sectionals for the first time in years. After four years of hard work, the Volleyball team finally took the crown in our Senior year. We not only brought atheletic talent to N.P.H.S.. but also theatrical and musical talent as well. The Band and Choir flourished under the musical direction of Mr. Grasset and Mrs. Bagley. Many theatrical productions were grand successes and exposed some exceptional talents. Productions such as Up the Down Staircase. America Hurrah. Guys S Dolls. Music Man. and U S A. boasted ourartistic talents. Not only was the school successful during our time here, but so were we. We started off with a magazine drive which began our fund raising career. We had a minor set-back in our Sophomore year (remember the candy drive?), which ivt’ more than made up tor in our Junior year with the innovative Antique Show. All of this hard work paid off when we had the best prom in years. We have indeed made our mark on New Paltz High School in many different ways. But it has equally made its mark on us. We shall never forget the times we ve made and shared here at New Paltz High. 25

Dedication David Rinaudo A Tribute To Bobo by Vicki I. Naso David Rinaudo, in his physical presence, is no longer with us. but in spirit he will always be here. David was a very unique individual who had his own style and character. He carried a smile with him wherever he went. He was known for living up each day and having the best of times. Whenever you were upset. David was there to help you out and cheer you up. He knew what happiness was all about, and he spread it through the lives of many people. David was an easy-going person and had a sense of humor which made everyone feel so comfortable whenever they were with him. Ho matter what you did or where you went with David, you always had a great time. Those who were lucky enough to be his friend, knew how special he was. David is gone. There's nothing we can do to bring him back. We all feel deserted and helpless. All we can do is carry his memories with us. his smile, his good nature, and his unique style. Remember Bobo for what he was Along with many people. I want to thank him for being a part of my life and meaning so much. We love and miss you David! 24
