A Message From the Board of Education You are graduating from High School into the adult world at a time when our society faces a myriad of problems. There are problems of population, race, crime, and drugs. There is a business recession — the worst in 30 years. There is the persisting, though declining, problem of the war in Viet Nam. Is this a novel situation? I think not; it varies only in degree. My high school class in 1940, for example, grew up in the depression and graduated into a world at war. It seems that there are always problems to engage our intellect, our energy, our dedication.
