A Message From the Principal One of the ingredients of today’s society is change. As I reflect on the four years of the Class of 1971 it is realized how rapid this change has been and how rapidly it is accelerating. You have witnessed three moon landings in less than two years. Ones imagination can run wild on what science technology will bring in space exploration during the next decade. Locally change has also taken place. At the beginning of your Sophomore year you moved into our new facility. Curriculum changes have added semester courses in Anthropology, Black Culture, Contemporary Affairs, Personal Notehand and World Religions. The Humanities Seminar Day, planned and executed by Seniors, changed a typical day in school. Many of you have also been members of the following committees: American Field Service, Earth, Drug Abuse, and Five Year Plan. I commend you for your contributions to these committees which ultimately will result in change. With the change in the voting age to eighteen you will have an earlier voice in decisions that are made. It is my sincere hope that the experiences here at High School have assisted you in making intelligent decisions for the kind of world you want. John L. Wyman High School Principal 11
