May I congratulate the young men and women of the Class of 1964 for their choice of PROGRESS as the theme of the Huguenot. Surely there is little that can compare with the importance of progress in the improvement of man's lot upon this earth. Since the dawn of our civilization every generation has been the beneficiary of the progress achieved by the past. It is the duty of each person to contribute his share to the progress of mankind. It is my hope that the experiences you have had in the New Paltz High School will enable you to carry out your responsibilities more effectively. I am proud of each of you and congratulate you.
