SENIOR SAGA Our tale is of four years gone by— And golden memories that we will try To keep forever within our thoughts, Those things which we so faithfully sought. As freshmen lowly we viewed these walls, Covered with ivy, standing so tall. We entered with visions of what was to come, And found that our labors had just begun. As steadfast sophomores we forged ahead— Toward inevitable victory wre were led, Until the fateful tug-o-war. When we lost the trophy by a narrow score. New Paltz Forever! The Senior march to victory. Many achievements we won that year, And soon we found our Hop was near. Our Mardi Gras was a huge success, We worked well together—oh, yes, oh, yes! Our Junior year at last arrived— We chose our rings with special pride. Six of the class to NYSSMA went. To the final concert much they lent. In musicianship we did excel, In athletics we did just as well. Our class rated high scholastically— The Honor Society chose eight for this dignity. Our Prom that spring was a gala affair. No others of old with ours could compare. Lee as King and Marie as queen Ruled with their court over a beautiful scene. That spring our class participated In things for which we were highly rated. We found that there was much to do— Valley Relays, Choral Clinic, College Boards, too. As juniors mighty we remained as a class, When into summer we did pass. To Girls’ State went Linda, to Boys’ State went Stew. They told us of many things they had learned to do. 30 At Hyde Park
