VALEDICTORIAN Though his academic grades are his most notable achievement. Doc did not let other activities slide by. Success has uniformly marked his other activities. His greatest extracurricular interest was music and he has been, for four years, active in both band and orchestra. He has had the time to serve on the editorial staff of the Huguenot. He has earned his letter in golf. As a junior. Doc was elected to the National Honor Society, and as a senior became president. He was a National Merit Scholarship finalist, and on the basis of his high score, was invited to participate in the Senior Seminar. As an outstanding science and math student, he became the recipient of the Bausch Lomb Award, the most important award to math and science students. We expect great things of Doc, as his sincerity, humor and intelligence will certainly carry him to great success. SALUTATORIAN PAUL SMILEY Linda’s high scholastic achievement, quiet manner and gentle sincerity have earned the respect and friendship of her class. As a member of the National Honor Society since her junior year, she has served her school well in this organization. Her enthusiastic support of the girls’ athletic program has made her an avid and valuable participant. Linda won a three year Regents’ Nursing Scholarship and, characteristically, plans to devote her life to the care of those who most need her services. LINDA BERNER 15
