The class of '53 launched into it's second year at New Paltz High School by electing their of- ficers. George llillham was elected President. Ralph Clearwater. Vice-President, and Theresa Power, Secretary-Treasurer. One of the most important events of this year was our Sophomore Hop, with Sadie Hawkins Day as our theme, This time the girls asked the boys to the dance which helped make it a big night of square and round dancing. The Sophomores showed their skill at winning games, when we took second place at the Halloween Party. After the first few months of school had passed quickly by we found ourselves planning the Holi- day decorations for our room.
