COMMERCIAL GAME The Commercial Club gives us experience and practice in ordinary office duties. We assist teachers by doing such tasks as running the duplicating machine and mimeograph machine, stenciling, typing, and filing. All these projects will help us with our future jobs.. Miss Zibella During the course of the year we have learned to play many games new to us. Some of these games are bridge, pinochle, rummy, chess, checkers, Chinese checkers, and others. The purpose of the Game Club is to provide recreation for the students and enable them to attain skills in games that are socially useful in the development of a well-rounded citizen. FACULTY ADVISOR................ Mr. McKenna CLUBS DANCING This year we have included in our list of activities a new club for students that enjoy dancing and particularly for those who would like to learn to dance or to improve their dancing. CLUBS F.F.A. The Future Farmers of America is the national ... - organization of farm boys studying vocational ag- riculture. The purposes of this organization are to develop aggressive, rural and agricultural leadership, encourage cooperative efforts, to advance vocational agriculture, to improve rural living conditions and to promote thrift. Luczai SCIENCE Under the guidance of Mr. Ott the club started off with a bang'' in the back lot where we demolished a stump by exploding some oxygen and hydrogen in a five gallon can. In other meetings, we assembled motors, performed a neutralization experiment with barrettes and different methods of magic writing. Topics of later meetings included jet propulsion. Arnold Ruger OUTDOOR The outdoor type in New Paltz High find an outlet for their interests in the Outdoor Club. We go on hikes, play games such as soccer, and even plan to go fishing. We find the flooded area for ice skating a great place for achieving skill and coordination. Many enjoyable hours have been spent gliding over the ice. BACHELORS No other club has the advantage of the Bachelors. Who else can spend their meeting time in the kitchen concocting delicious things to eat? Originally a dusty storeroom, the darkroom was soon sparkling with the many gadgets that delight the eye of budding photographers.
