With a quick recovery from the mystifying incidents in Paltz Central High, we, the class of 1948, entered the last career overflowing with self-confidence. our initial year at New half of our high school We take pride in the fact that the Junior Class is well represented in the three major sports—Basketball, Baseball, and Track. The annual Junior Prom, of course, climaxed our social obligations and was a huge success. CLASS OFFICERS George Mackey ...................................... opljotnore Clastf September found us at New Paltz High as the last entering Sophomore Class. When classes settled down we elected class officers and chose our representatives to the Student Senate. Early in the term we shared honors with the Freshmen at the annual Welcome Party. Our class was well represented in school activities, including the Band, Glee Club, Art Club, and Journalism. The class was very active in the Red Cross Tuberculosis Drive. Cartoons and articles were submitted, one of which appeared in the Nepa Hi Liles. We, the Sophomores, enjoyed participating in these and other activities of New Paltz High. CLASS OFFICERS Jfrefiijman Class We Freshmen arrived here in September, wishing we had maps to find our way around, asking where the rooms were, and wondering where the labyrinthine halls would lead us next. Almost as soon as we got acquainted with the terrain, mid-years were upon us. The results weren’t at all bad either. In our maiden year as N.P.H.S. students we took part in many activities Intramural Basketball, Glee Club, Journalism, and such. We are looking forward to the next three years here as we become more familiar with our surroundings.
