SERVICE PAGE P.F.C. Elton LeFevre 801 T.S.S. T. 536 Seymour Johnson Field North Carolina Private John Martin Co. A Platoon 2 Walter McLaren Marine Training Det. N.T.S. Station Unknown Grove City, Pennsylvania P.F.C. William George 414 T.S.S. Flight C. Gulfport Field Mississippi Private Edward R. Burke Vasual Co. Parachute B.N. New River, North Carolina In the first semester of our school year the Senior Class lost five members, each of whom enlisted in the service of their country: William George, Walter McLaren, Elton LeFevre, Edward Burke and John Martin. We can count many ways in which these boys have been missed during the remaining months of the school year. They withdrew their talents from school to add them to a cause they felt was a much more important one. We know that wherever they are, the service has gained friendship, kindness, entertaining company and courageous patriotism. Though they will be unable to share with us the accomplishment of graduation, each of us feels sure within ourselves that when the enlisted boys have completed their duties, there will exist between them and us a greater bond than that of high school days. To our boys in Service the Senior Class of ’43 pays its tribute!
