The purpose of this club is to increase the members’ knowledge of world events and present day politics. The members of the club arc divided into two committees, who take turns having charge of the meetings held every Friday. We hope that the Seniors of next year will meet with even greater success. 18

DEBATE TEAM DEBATE was held in assembly the latter part of January. Interest ran high. The subject was “Resolved, That O.ir High School Should Have a Student Council.” The judges (members of the faculty) gave the decision to the Seniors who supported the negative in a sprightly manner in spite of lack of material. The Juniors, they said, had more facts and sound reasoning, but not as successful delivery or wit in rebuttal. Miss Conard hopes to have more debating this year in order to continue the good work of previous years.
