THE CAST OF THE SENIOR PLAY rHE Senior Play, the “Nut Farm” was a success due to the spirited and talented cast which was composed largely of Seniors and Juniors. “Jimmie” Sherman played the part of Willie Barton, the irrepressible kid brother, who saved the day. The screen-struck sister Helen was well portrayed by Lula Wright, and the part of her husband, Bob Bent, was well interpreted by “Larry” Osterhoudt. Grace Has Brouck had the difficult role of Mother Barton, who carried the burden of the family troubles on her shoulders. As the dyed-in-the-wool villain, Hamilton T. Holland, “Ike” Bell was perfect, and his two partners in iniquity, Biddeford and Van Horton were well represented by “Walt” Dunham and “Beb” Barnes. Willie’s sweetheart, Agatha Sliscombc was played to perfection by Helen Bogert, and her father, Farmer Sliscombe, a lovable old fellow, who always did the wrong thing was played by Elting Harp. 18

Miss Payne. The purpose of this club is to increase the members’ knowledge of world events and present day politics. The members of the club are divided into three committees who take turns having charge of the meetings held every Friday. These meetings have been very interesting and educational, and as we pass it on to the Seniors of next year, we hope that it will meet with even greater success. 20
