Faculty Advisor—Miss Eckles AT THE beginning of the school year, Miss Eckles, our advisor, presided at the first meeting of the Junior Class, when we elec ed officers for the coming year. “Ike” Bell, our noted basket-ball player, was unanimously elected president. Charlotte Tamney, followed “Ike” by being elected vice-president. A unanimous vote was cast electing “Beb” Barnes the class secretary Last but not least, “Toots” DuBois undertook the job of taking care of our money. Last October the Juniors gave the party in honor of the poor little “Freshies”. We tried to make them feel at home, but nevertheless they acted shy and frightened. We hope that they had a good time anyway. The first of May, we Juniors gave a dance in the Legion Hall at New Paltz. The hall was beautifully decorated. How? With all the colors of the rainbow. Why? Because we had the Rainbow Orchestra. Everyone enjoyed himself greatly. We hope that next year will be as successful as the past year has been. Charlotte Tamney Willard Barnes Donald DuBois Vice-President Secretary Treasurer 15

SOPHOMORE CLASS President .... Clyde Rutherford Vice-President Mary Radley Secretary . Ruth Seward Treasurer...........................John Moran Faculty Advisor—Miss Payne PERHAPS we Sophomores have not been in the headlines, but we are still sponsoring hopes for the future. We started off in September with aspirations which resulted in a very successful Hot Dog Roast for the Freshmen; and some splendid ideas for action during our Junior Year. Even if we haven’t done wonders under the title “Sophomores”, we do admit that we have tried to cooperate and help the other student organizations along the road to success. 16
