The 1988 Memento Seventy-sixth Edition New Oxford Senior High School New Oxford, PA Aduisor Mr. Wallace. Treasurer Kyle Schuman. President Willie Brown, Secretary Lela Mummert. Historian Scott Robinson, Vice-president Todd Lawrence. The senior class of 1988 has diligently worked together to reach our goal. We have fi- nally made it; our senior year is here. The class of 88 has sold lots of candy, spent many long nights on homecoming floats, and presented last year’s senior class with the prom “Moonlight Masquerade”. We've worked hard in school and in our activities. We have learned a lot, shared many good times, and we have done it together. We the class of 1988 would like to dedicate our yearbook to New Oxford High School for giving us a place to learn and to grow. In addition, we would like to express our appreciation to the faculty, administration, and staff for supporting us in our education and in our lives. A special thanks to all of the friends we have made here for helping to make these the best years of our lives. Heather Reading Wait for me June 2008 The New Oxford ''i88 Colonial NOHS Class of “88” Holds 20th Year Class Reunion Colonial Correspondent Jenny Brodbeck The class of 1988 held its 20th class reunion last evening at Jeff Cooper’s Christmas tree farm. The night was filled with some wild and crazy things, trademark of the Class of ’88. The evening started with glamour when all the rich, famous busi- ness men and women showed up in their limos. Those wealthy class members were Tom Cook, Ray Deardorff, Kim Robinson, Lori Miller, Corey Bailey, Joyce Noel, Ron DeShong, Gary Hess, Shelly Keith, Mark Thompson, Becky Boring, and Ken Updegraff. But the limos were nothing com- pared to the racing cars that showed up. The most impressive of course was Rob Little’s Indy car. His pit crew, Chris Holmberg and Todd Little in the company of racers and auto mechanics, Dan Jones, Troy Kern, Ron Co- leman, Terry Erb, Keith Shrader, and Buddy Staub were all there admiring Rob’s car and Indy 500 trophy. As you walked to the front doors Mr. Kendelhart and Mr. Teets asked you, “Gotta invitation?” Something that seemed quite fa- miliar to the hall roamers. The first people you saw were Lela Mummert on the phone and Brian Shaffer waiting in line, they’re both in communications. As you walked on to the ballroom, you saw more of the class mem- bers. Seated at one corner of the room were the pro athletes, Andy Hafer, center for the Sixers; Ed Smith, PGA Champi- on; Dwayne Smith, defensive tackle for the Eagles; and Treber Rebert, pitcher for the Mets. A group of former NOHS D.O. students, Dave Bolen, George Brown, Alan Clabaugh, Mike Costella, Todd Hoover, Charles Kiser, Steve McMas- ter, Steve Myers, Jeanne Noel, Kevin Nye, Cheryl Orner, Eu- gene Rohrbaugh, Tony Sny- der, Robbie Wood, Brian Weaver, and Pam Whiteford were all discussing their new and exciting jobs. Brenda McKinney was rui around taking pictures f photo shop, and author Lemmon was writing things down for her new book. Marine biologist Heather Red- ding was trying to talk to the gold- fish in the aquarium. There i ladies were serv wiches and scalloped potatoes, it was a Friday. After dinner dental hygenist Sherri Smith was hand- ing out toothbrushes. Jso sneaking away were bank- ers Jenny Clabaugh and Renae Noel who talked to Karen Keffer, Andy Hockensmith, Suzi McFeaters and Jim Kane about good investments. Meanwhile outside Jeff was showing some other farmers, Larry Aumen, Jason Boyer, Kevin Eckert, Greg Haver- stick, Paul Smith, and Mike Stahl his 1,000 acre Christmas tree farm. Jeff was also showing off his mansion to architects Sarah Hall and Ruthie Salgado, engineers Chad Heflin, Scott Reever, and John Reichart and also to car- penters Brian Smith and Shane Linebaugh. Back inside the house Shelly Souders (piano) and Scott Bow- man (sax) were providing the en- tertainment while people admired work by great artists like An Keith, Wendi Kinneman, Loi Kitzmiller, Jeanne S Bobbi Jo Laughman, TC I and Sue Sanders. There was also a groi Conewago Valley School Distric teachers discussing differen ways to punish students. The were: Gena Groft, Sandy Grc Donna Lemmon, Leslie ft and Amy Rodgers. Becki DePaulis, class clown, started goofing around and sud- denly she went under and didn’t come up! Out of no where Kenny Miller, class hero, came and saved Becki! What a guy! Medi- cal assistance was given to Becki from Brad Earhart, Holli Kopp, and Dina Matias. The night was then filled with the sound of helicopters in the air. iry police and the secret ser- ippeared from behind some ouglass Firs. Then the reason for all of the protection arrived. A huge he- licopter with pilots, Matt Karch- nak and Billie Jo Morningstar landed. Out of the cockpit came Chris Todt, Chris Smithson, and Wendy Livingston, secre- taries for the President of the Jim Schriver! The night soon ended and as ev- eryone left an old man in a rocking chair sat on the front porch eating M M’s. There was a gleam in his eyes because he knew the Class of ’88 had succeeded and he was proud of them. Mr. Wal- lace smiled. THE CLASS OF 1988 T.V.
