' CLASS POEM To give you a brief preview of the class of '49, We will try to tell you where and how they shine. DICK and DALE in Ag are fine, They're sure to win just anytime. COOKIE in playing a French Horn does well, She could become a professional, who can tell. TOOTSIE in singing takes the lead, In opera, we know she'll succeed. FRED and KRUGIE in playing cornets do well, Which one is the better, we cannot tell. BESSIE and DOT are seen together everywhere With us their jokes they always share. HORNIE is our soda jerk, At Jim's she's almost always at work. SIS in Home Ec. makes us laugh, We won't forget she was one of our class. GRIEST shines on the basketball floor, And when given the ball, he's sure to score. HELEN is always laughing in study hall, But, she's a great friend of us all. PETE is a very brilliant guy, He never takes time to give the girls an eye. JOHNNY is short, but spry, To us all, he's one swell guy. SIEGIE is about 6 feet 4, And almost always on the dance floor. BILL and HERB are some more farming guys, In knowing how to produce crops, they're very wise. YEALY and SEGRAVES are two of a kind, Seen together everywhere, never on time. JUENE in Home Ec, can sew and knit, To be a housewife, she's economically fit. To be a secretary is ECKER's aim, And to work in an othce is not a game. Basketball is LAUREL's favorite sport, She can hit the basket from the back court. JIMMY and WISEMAN both are good in basketball, Neither are short, but very tall. To get enough sleep, is JACKIE's only thought, He tries to come into class, in the morning, without being caught. In Ag NOEL is a whiz, If you don't think so, just give him a quiz. IKE is president of the F. F. A., He can cut corn and get in the hay. MARY RUTH studies all of the time, I'm sure eventually she'll become an Einstein. In driving, CHARLIE D. surely does shine, And he's usually seen with Janet Kime. EVA plays the alto clarinet in the band, She takes Home EC, but not shorthand. 11
