 — For those of us who knew Yijava Reddy, we know what kind of person he was — the best. Known to everyone at V.J., he was always there for anyone whojust needed a friend. He knew how to laugh and cry. He understood the meaning of love and joy. Grades meant a lot to V.J. and he worked for them just like the rest of us. His extra-curricular activities included spring football and the chess team. Yet one thing he didn’t work at was his friends. They came naturally to him. He had many and always will. We miss and love him a lot. The class of 1988 will never forget you, Yijava Reddy. —Liz Tishion— 16

East Street School had— 17 classrooms a combination gym, cafeteria, and study hall 1 science lab a combination French and language laboratory 1 office for the adminstration a small guidance office 1 industrial arts shop 1 small home economics room In the fall of 1962, the graduating high school class of 63 made a monumental move that would affect high school students in New Milford for years to come, 25 years to be exact. They moved from East Street School to the “new” New Milford High School. The class consisted of about 90 students and the population of the town of New Milford was about 13,000. In the following pages eight teachers who arc still with us, that made the move 25 years ago, will share their memories of (he past 25 years.
