John J Rohtnvni. Ed.D . Frimapml Joann M I jlht. Vtc Pnmpal Donald P Ftftal Vkw Prw o NEW MILFORD HIGH SCHOOL 25 Sunny Valiev Road, New Milford, CT 06776 (203 ) 354-3936 Dear Seniors: I was pleased to be asked to write this farewell message because I have enjoyed watching you grow up during the four years we have been together. The Class of '85 will be remembered as a good, solid class who took the challenge of leadership very seriously and made some outstanding contributions to our school. As you read this, graduation is a few short days away. Remember though that graduation from high school is not the end of learning and growth, but rather the beginning. We at New Milford High School, along with your parents, have been nurturing your roots, as well as helping you test your newly developed wings. By now your roots are pretty much established; they have taken hold very well. We also can see your wings beginning to grow and these will continue to do so as your development continues and you are truly ready to fly on your own . As that day nears, both parents and teachers have mixed feelings. Obviously, we are very happy and proud that you are becoming the responsible adults we've helped train you to be. But, we are also sorry to see you go; the relationships we've developed at our school over four years are hard to break. Even though we worked hard to prepare you for that special day in June, we don't want to see you go. What you've done, what you've learned and what you've meant to us for four years should not be minimized. During these years we have helped you develop your minds and your bodies in preparation for the world ahead. I hope you always remember, fondly, the part of your lives spent at New Milford High School. My best wishes to each of you. 12
