Because of the great diversity of students in this school, there are very few teachers that touch the lives of nearly all. Mrs. Leonard, however, is one who does. She is admired for her tireless efforts, her infinite optimism, and her concern for people in school or out. She is not an outspoken crusader, but with her own quiet progress she provides for students’ needs. Always willing to help the individual, she is in turn, respected. It is for this personalized teaching, and the compassion and honesty that she shows towards all, that Mrs. Leonard is loved. And so, it is with great affection, that the Senior class dedicates the 1974 yearbook to this lovely lady. 7

True these adjectives may be generalizations but they aptly describe your class. The students of this senior class are purposeful in the way they go about their studies. They have shown responsibility in the type of individuals they have chosen to lead them, dedication to carrying out goals that they have established through democratic processes, concern with the welfare of their fellow students and wholesome in that they stand for something by the values they exhibit. These virtues are the kind that give us hope for the future. It is you who will be the leaders of tomorrow. The responsibilities, burdens and joys of leadership will be yours.
