icimmistratton To The Class of 1970 As we end the decade of the 60’s, man has taken his first step toward outer space. During your last year in high school, man has successfully landed on the moon twice, this being a goal set by the late president, John F. Kennedy, during the early 60’s. Many consider this feat the greatest in the history of mankind. This was made possible by the dedication and determination of an educated society and man’s innate curiosity of his world. Upon graduation from New Milford High School, you will be facing the challenge of the 70’s. Your increased knowledge and maturity over the past four years have equipped you to better meet these challenges. During the next decade, many of you will be making decisions concerning your life’s work. I trust your choice of endeavor will prove to be fruitful and afford each of you happiness. While meeting these challenges in the near future you will occasionally find time to reminisce about your high school days. This fine publication will help bring back what we hope will be fond memories. Russell L. Devin Principal
