Dedication We, the Class of 1960, dedicate this yearbook to you, Mr. Trabold. You have given us greater determination to secure an education. You have set a precedent in our school by establishing the National Honor Society, the Scholastic and Athletic Banquets, teenage dances, and numerous clubs. Yet, this is not the real reason why we have chosen to honor you. You have a genuine interest in us and a deep understanding of our particular problems. During the past years you have been an important factor in shaping our lives. We would like to take this opportunity to show our gratitude and appreciation by bestowing this token upon you. We will always remember you and New Milford High School as one.

Prologue Eighteen years ago, more or less, a star was born . . . you. When the curtain went up, you weren't aware of the special drama unfolding . . . your life. Perhaps now, like Shakespeare, you might realize that ... the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. The curtain is closing on the first act of your lives, and you are preparing for the future. June twenty-sixth, nineteen sixty, will mark the beginning of the second act. You will be leaving much behind in New Milford High School . . . memories of sports, dances, assemblies and classes. The Yearbook Staff hopes that this edition of Schaghticoke will keep these memories warm. We wish to thank all the people who have made this yearbook possible. Babette Amberger, Editor 2
