Phi Gamma Nu Beta Alpha chapter ot Phi Gamma Nu, national pro- fessional sorority in business, was chartered Dec. 9, 1971, with an installation ceremony and reception at the Mission Inn. Since then the group has held several professional meetings and social functions. Phi Gamma Nu sorority was organized to foster the study of business in colleges and universities; to up- hold the interests ot our alma maters through the en- couragement of high scholarship, participation in school activities, and the association of students for their mutual advancement; to promote professional competency and to further a high standard of commer- cial ethics and culture in civic and professional enter- prises. Since the establishment of the NMSU Blue Key Chapter in 1956, the chapter has aided the university and community with numerous service proj- ects. This year the chapter established the All-Aggie Homecoming Barbecue with the Alumni Association as a yearly tradition, installed two bicycle racks, and do- nated time and money to the Challenge I project of NMSU. Our membership was honored by the induction of President Gerald W. Thomas as an honorary mem- ber.
