WMM Senior Prophecy As I was driving peacefully along a highway one sunny afternoon I was struck full in the face by a huge colorful billboard glorifying the merits of the coming attraction: 'The Colossal Buser and Burkett Three Ring Circus.' This attracted my attention, so I came to a screach- ing halt, and gazed with awe UPOD this marvelous spectacle. I was compelled to stare with amazement at the main attraction which was comprised of two curvacious females who had emerged only a short time ago from the shores of tropical Hawaii, Hula Hula Steele, and Lulu Quigg. The billboard had aroused my curosity, so I waited brethlessly for this event. At last it came! standing in the midst of the enormous impatient crowd, with his club and whistle, was none other than E. P. Cassidy, directing people to their proper places. As I neared the ticket office, I was surprised to und my old friend Ailene, followed by her henpecked husband Hubie. Then my attention was attracted by the outrageous screams of the familiar barker, Max Servies. After my curosity forced me to enter this side show, I was amazed to see, beating his chest and making weird noises, Berley from Borneo. Also suffering from the intense heat was two-ton Tessie Trimble, the fat lady. Preparing to leave, I couldn't help from seeing gleaming swords rapidly disappearing down the throat of Tin-gullet Cash. After leaving this attraction, I suddenly was aroused by a commotion and I rushed to see two policemen dragging Theron Davis away from the Hula Hula girls. Searching for more entertainment, I entered the Big Top. Munching pop corn and cotton candy, I seated myself next to Kenny Gardner, and the fifth holder of his much worn engagement ring. The entertainment soon began as four monstrous elephants paraded around the three large rings, followed by Eddie Deck and a pitchfork. Flying through the air with the greatest of ease was the daring young man on the flying trapeeze, Mousy Myers, and his co-partner Trickey Todd. During this time the familiar clown Mopey Morgan, with huge red ears and nose and sawdust on his enormous shoes, was running madly from a stray cat. My interest now turned to the lion tamer, Slugger Wilson, who was bravely standing, armed only with a whip, a pistol, a bolo knife and a chair, before the lions Leo Buser and Browny Burkett, named for their owners. One ferocious roar from Leo caused Slugger to melt in his boots. But close by, ready to administer first aid was Doctor Rice and his assistant, Nurse McMahan. Upon leaving the big top I was shocked to see Darlene, the Grabble Gertie of the side show industry trying madly to attract anything faintly resembling a member of the male sex to her men only tent. Tired from an after-noon's adventure and astonished at seeing my old friends in such a life, I was ready to return home. However, as Ileft the circus grounds. I spied none other than Wolf Davis, making his fourth attempt to enter--yes, you've guessed it, the Hula Hula tent.
