packed the new auditorium to hear the address of the state superintendent of public instruction. The next day the students and faculty moved in and. under the supervision of Superintendent Thomas VVenrick, went through the daily routine of school work. The alumni hung a bronze medal in the hall on the top floor in honor of Marshall Brown, founder of New Madison High School. Years went on and activities of all kinds were held in the building to create friendship and enjoyment for many people. School fairs, basketball games, P.T.A's, and receptions were held year after year. Then a new stage was built next to the gym- nasium which added class plays and other stage activities to the long list of means of entertainment. Later a new garage with a modern heating system was built to keep seven school busses in the best condition possible, A large addition was made to the back of the school house which included the large farm shop and which contains tools of all kinds used in this mechanical age of today.
