Ditty and Jack Ray didnt continue with our class while Don Ross Doris Clopp and David Gartrell were added with Karl Bowman and Marion VVnrner vwlthdiavxing The hearts of the girls wcrf healed in the ninth grade by the thought of nine boys md only thlee girls entering the class 'lhey were Gene Cox Gene Grile Harold Laro thcrs Keith Burns Keith Miller Donald Baker Eddie Puteibaugh Dick Dowler Rob eit Hileman Betty Royer Ruth Cook and James Riley Collecting mice tails was one of the hobbies of the boys in the tenth grade but the hobby was called to a sudden halt when one of the teachers discovered the boys had put the mice 1n the girls desks Those not entering our class this year were Ruth Look Hazel Burkett Eddie Puterbaugh Robert Hileman and James Riley Events started rolling in the eleventh grade with the comedy mystery Dark House being presented We were very anxious about the outcome and were much relieved when it was a success Llass iings were purchased to gixe eudence of our maturity Phe annual Junior Senior Reception in honor of the Seniors was held at Richmond s Leland Hotel 'lhe tvemng gowns and stitf collars made us uneasy at first but were soon forgotten Dottie Helman Herb Dowler Alan Inmrlck and Bob Petry were welcomed to our class Finally we reached the twelfth grade Some weie glad md others were sad As included Donald Baker Keith Burns Harold Qaiothels Gene box Doris Clopp Dick Dowler Alan Emiick James Falknor David Galtrell Gene Grile Phyllis Halduman Dottie Helman Neva Lipps Keith Millei B111 Pipe iger Bob Petry Maxine Robinson Don Ross Gene Slorp Mary Timmons Dick Wiley and Doris Will Doris Will Maiy Timmons Nexa Lipps James Falknor Gene blolp and Bill Pipenger were the only members of our class who attended New Madison all twelve years We made a trip to Dayton during the first of the year to get our gladuation pictures taken Much of our energy was consumed publishing the Owl It took lots of haid work but we thmk it was worth it Mr Guy Bingham talked to oui class one day on Preparing to Meet Life It stimulated serious thmkmg and made us realize that vue were near the independent stage and the world vxas waiting to see what we could offer I hope we will be able to use the knowledge gained to the best advantage Since I Kilroy haxe proudlv Jouineyed twelxe sears with the Class of 48 I hope that in years to comm people will take pride in saying Kilroy was heie' .
