Class History From the days of yester-year come the cheerful memories of our begining in high school. It doesn't seem so long, but it was four years ago, the fall of 1950. There were 15 students who enrolled as Freshmen. It wasn't too long after the term started when we were officially In -- the Sopho- mores initiated us. Maybe we were greenhorns once, but we proved to them that day what we really were. Two of the things we did that year were to have a couple of dances to earn some money. They turned out a big success. The seniors put on the play, Brother Goose. On the last day of school we went to Flushing Park for a picnic. This ended our happy Freshman year. In the fall of 1951, 15 came back as Sophomores. We soon found it was time for us to have some fun by initiating the new Freshman. We really gave them the time of their lives. It was this year that we looked at our class rings. We had a few dances which were successful, and on the last day of school we went to Flint Park. Also we got to serve at the Junior and Senior Banquet this year and all the girls were glad to have this chance. In the fall of 1952 13 members enrolled. We got our Class rings and were very proud of them. We were very busy trying to think up ways to earn money for now we started thinking of our Senior trip. We had some dances and they also were successful. This year went very fast. The last day of school we went to Flint Park again. The fall of 1953 finally arrived. The great year had come at last. There were 12 of us enrolled as Seniors. We started right off of the bat to think of ways to earn money for the trip. We had some dances and also ran the Coke machine. We decided to have a yearbook and we all worked hard on it to get it done. In this year our school got it Gym, and we start ed our first year of Girls Basketball, by wining the first game from Byron. We put on a Senior play. We also had a prom. Then the Juniors gave us a Banquet and we want to the Alumni Banquiet also. All year long we work- ed hard trying to most of our last year. On May 1? began graduation week. And the Zhth of May we left on our Senior trip. This ended our four years of high school, an esperience that will remain in our memories as long as we live. Students
