1939 - MISTEGUAY - 1940 In the New to show as good JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY the fall of l957 a group of 12 Freshmen entered Lothrop High School, hashful and shy, but eager those Ndignifiedn Seniors that we were egually as they. Our initiation in the third week of school lasted for two days. On Friday afternoon we put on a program consisting of proposals of marriage, sing- ing, and dancing for the entertainment of the upperclass men. In the evening we were given a partyfn the school. Soon our class, consisting of Billy Flynn, Elwin Waldie, Howard Launstein, Steve Krcmarik, Donald Bradley, Donald Cromwell, Kenneth Phelps, Jerry Kuchar, Emil Rumisek, Sarah Yalda, Ruth Thrasher, and Marceline Horton, organized and chose the following officers: President ---------------- Ruth Thrasher Vice-President -------- Howard Launstein Secretary ------------------ Sarah Yelda Treasurer ------------- Marceline Horton Class Advisor ------ --Miss Burdene Otto During the year we lost Kenneth Phelps and Jerry Kuchar, When we returned to school in the fall of '58, we found that Ruth Thrasher and Marceline Horton had moved to Itha- ca. Billy Flynn, Elwin Waldie, Howard Launstein, Donald Bradley, Donald Cromwell, Emil Bumisek, and Sarah Yalda had returned. In addition Paul and Forest Crittenden had some from the Montrose High School and Frank Vyskocil and Lysle Jacobs had come from the Corunna High School. Waite During the year we lost Steve Krcmarik. When we returned to school in the fall of '39, we found that Emil Rumisek and Lysle Jacobs had gone to the Chesaning High School. This year me had three new scholars in our grade, Betty Ann Bailey from Holt High School, Beth Sweers from Flushing High School, and Phidora Terwilliger from Caro High School.
