5 5- X JUNIOR HIGH REVIEW The Junior High is a very important division of the school course for in these two years the students become familiar with high school urulesn and activities They have many of their own but Join the high school for band Each class is a well organized unit with officers Together they hold assembly programs once a month The seventh grade holds class meetings every two weeks Officers are elected every semester to give more class members the experience of holding an office Those elected this year are First Semester President Francis Young Vice President Monica Simmons Secretary Elizabeth Jones Treasurer Ronald Orndorff The eighth grade has meetings once each They also elect officers twice a year First Semester R EE Harshall Jimmy Hanson Robert Pennebaker Andy Rogers President Vice President Secretary Treasurer The Junior High had Joint assembly were supervised by Mrs Kermeen and Mrs dents October Halloween November December March April May Variety Program Graduation Second Semester Richard Craig Carol McGohan Roberta Hlllard James Warth a month and a program Second Semester E tE AdoIpEs Donald Garrels Jacque Harper Larry Reid after programs once a month which Paine and planned by the stu Thanksgiving Service Reverend Eastwood Christmas Chapel Service Reverend Sutton Easter Service Reverend Ellis Both grades are proud of their large membership in the band The seventh grade has nine out of twenty one, while the eighth has elgh teen out of twenty five This is a larger membership than any one class in high school can boast The Junior High sports include both football and basketball The 'Little Tigers' played other towns in both fields and even partlcl pated in the County Tournament at Mt Pleasant in basketball Barton was the coach Even though they met defeat in both several times they needed experience and practice makes perfect giyo -? gi' 24 u di on 30 - 20 - - 18 - - February 19 - Washington and Lincoln 18 - - 22 - 20 - . .
