DEDICAUON The 1966 staff of the Wildcat takes this opportunity to express in some small Way our thanks to Mrs. Floyd Pierce. All too often We take teachers and friends for granted, not realizing what an important role they have played in our lives. As Mrs. Pierce retires, we do realize that she has been both friend and teacher to us through these, our formative, our high school years. Many a freshman has been charted a clearer course to follow because Mrs . Pierce has shown him the art and the necessity of communication in today's troubled Waters. Not only has she thus taught, but she has also proven herself to be our friend by setting us an example of refinement, charm, intellectual curiosity and interest in our fellow students. Thus we proudly dedicate this edition of the Wildcat to Mrs. Pierce and send with her our best wishes for the happiness and health of her and her family . . . THE STAFF OF THE 1966 WILDCAT Mrs, Pierce in her classroom. 2
