Board of Education - N 3?- e va I4 is X1 is u zo zu 22 24 25 eng 27 28 29 Jack Hodgkin, Norman Merrill, Mrs. Ruth Motter, Archie Case, Elmer Schacht, Robert Thomas, Robert Wenner. Each school must have a sturdy backbone to keep it from 'ifallingv and losing perspectiveg that backbone is the Board of Education. The Board has the duty of making sure that the school is doing its job as far as proper education of the children enrolled is concerned. The Board has the right to hire, fire, expell, admit, get new curriculum or discard the old, and most anything else that perf tains to the education and good of the students. New London's Board of Education has five elected members, a clerk, and the superintendent of New London schools. These people meet at least once a month, and at times more often, to attend to their many items of business. The Board prides itself on cofoperating with and working for the general good of the students in the school, and they might well be proud. Three
