EN EL HI il E lillllllllllllllllllllIllllllllllllllllllllll I E Class Prophecy of Class of ,23 N. L. H. S. I.-'ill N JANUARY 32, 1940, four of our dear old classmates, Ira Hofstatter, lllabel Cole. Ruth Smith and Byron VVhite, chaperoned by Phil VVhite, stepped for the ocean steamer, Maid of the Mist, to make a six months tour of picturesque Europe. VVhile they were traveling over the vast wilds of Italy, they came upon Carl Graham, who was pursuing the wild European mice. Carl hinted ve1'y mysteriously of the strange discovery that he recently made. After some persuasion he consented to guide them to the old cave of the Sybil, which he had accidently come upon the week before. Carl introduced the group to the twentieth century Sybil, Dorothy Smith. After astonished and affectionate greetings were exchanged, she obligingly went into a trance and told them the news of their absent classmates. After a few moments hesitation Sybil told them of Leroy Roorback, who serves as a minister in Kamchatiia. Dorothy Shipman is very contented to be teaching little hopefuls of Kamchatka. Following the information that Sybil told us of Harvey Hall as a member of the Four Hundred in the city of New York. In this same city Thelma Arthur is a very ac- complished movie actress who rivals ever her predecessor. Theda Bara. In a different section of the city Ruth Russeil is a model in a wholesale millinery shop. llpon talking about Ruth Russell, naturally the subject of Paul lN1essenger's destination in life would arise. lVe iind that he is tripping over the desert sands of South Africa in search of diamonds. From Africa we go to Australia where we iind Lawrence O'Hara chaperoning a Hock of sheep on the grassy plains. and then to the one and only Gilbtrt Sprague, who is touring Lithunia as a musical comedian in Scandals of 19410.

VVe run across a large poster stating the important event of the season which was to take place in the Town Hall ot' the city of Fitchville. The incident was the debut of Leah Per- kins as a classic dancer. She had worked for this event for the previous fifteen years. Our dear old friend, IIarvey Lyon, after hearing of the wonderful entertaimnent to be held in Fitchville, decided to honor Leah by his presence. VVhile traveling from Cleve- land to Fitchville on the train, he met the porter, Laylin Bliss. Laylin says he is very well contented, because he likes to travel and see the beautiful scenery. PIarvey told the public while in Fitehville, ot' the new Chief' of Police of' Cleveland. The Chief' is a great success. Her name is Ivy Smith. As Sybil disclosed this information to the g'roup of highly excited classmates, the newlyweds, Floyd Sutfin and Dora Scott, and .Iim Smith and Dorothy Fowdon burst into the cave and their noisy exclamations awoke Sybil or Dorothy from her transe. As the two next parties came together they all returned to our Il. S. A. and to New London to hear Ida May Cole auctioneering off the first edition of En-El-Hi of' 1923. MARION JOHNSON. DORIS HALL.
