V Each of you has both an opportunity and To the Members of the Class of 1962: As graduation brings a close to your public school years, it marks the start for each of you toward building a use- ful and rewarding life on the foundation you now possess . You will be living in a rapid-moving, earth-shrinking, atomic-jet age. Past accomplishments should be dwarfed by new, intellectual achievements . a responsibility to make your education and learning work toward solving the serious problems that complicate life today. There is no alternative. To the Members of the Class of 1962: This is a time of mixed emotions-- happiness and sadness--for you. Your four years at New London High School are nearly over and you will be going in many different directions soon.
