Our Junior year in high school is the year we will always remember as the most wonderful year of all. At the beginning of the year, we started to make plans for the Junior Prom. To raise money we had a candy sale, car wash, and sponsored two dances. Our first thrill was when we received our class rings. We were so proud to show our rings to the other kids, because this year our rings were faneier than they were in the previous years. The next and even more thrilling event was the Prom. We all worked so hard to make it so beau- tiful and such a big success. Now that our Junior year is ended, we are looking forward to our Senior year, our final and most important year. THIRD ROW: G. We were now smooth Sophomores, able to look down from our lofty heights and say Hi Greenhorn! to some poor freshman passing by. We could find our way around school now and had gotten into more school activities. We had many boys out for football, basketball, and other sports. We were well represented in Forensics, Speech, Work, and other Clubs such as Camera, Biology, Band, and Library. Having won the Spirit Cup last year, we were hoping to do so again this year. Taking second place with our float in the Homecoming Parade brought up our hopes considerably. All things considered, we are are a peppy class and are looking forward to being upper classmen next year, when we can really get into the swing of things. FOURTH ROW: S. Reetz, A. Volz, R. Stern, J. It seemed as though we'd never get to classes on time or learn our way around the school. Our lockers seemed to stick when we wanted them to open. Upper classmen were two more worries. There were so many of both, and we felt small and unimportant beside them. After awhile, we began to lose our timidness. We got into a few activities and did very well in football and bas ketball. We had a big thrill when our float took first place in the Homecoming parade. We felt we really belonged in sehool now, and settled down to enjoy the rest of the year. As our Freshman year turned out very well, we are now looking forward to being exalted Sophomores next year. FOURTH ROW: G. Gorges, F. Hanold, G. Ingersoll, D. Haney, G. Hoerning, K. Hoffman, D.
