Kirk Fletcher President Cathy Bruss Geraldine Huettl Treasurer , Secretary Gerry Ebert Vice -President I Will I ever remember which room to go to! Yes, this was our freshman year in high school. To lead us through these happy but trying days we chose Tom Beckman as president, Vice President, Don Rex, Secretary, Geraldine Huettl, Treasurer, Margery Meating. Although we were shy, nearly every phase of school life was well supported. Beyond our wildest dream, came the greatest thrill of freshman year. We won the spirit cup. Our class officers for the sophomore year were President, Leslie Prochnow, Vice President, Vernon-Otto, Secretary, Margaret Ritchie, Treasurer, Karen Winckler. Our sophomore year was even better than our freshman year. Finally our hard work brought success. Our debate team, partly composed of sophomores, won the Mideastem Debate Championship. We were also successful in drama. Our scholastic record was one to be very proud of. At the end of the year we again received the spirit cup. The most exciting event of the year was our Prom. Vemon Otto and Margaret Ritchie reigned over our prom. Some Enchanted Evening was the theme. The honor of leading our class was given to Dennis Killan as President, Vernon Otto, Vice President, Jerry Jones, Secretary. Our debate team well represented by juniors made state, the supreme honor. Another first was racked up by the Forensic One Act play cast also composed of many juniors. They received an A-l rating at state. As a climax to our third year we won the spirit cup fo'r the third straight year. For the last time our class officers were chose. Kirk Fletcher, President, Vice President, Jerry Ebert, Secretary, Geraldine Huettl, Treasurer, Cathy Bruss. Our Queen for homecoming was Sheri Knapstein. The crowning of the Queen was an unforgettable moment. This is the beginning of the end. Musicians, Athletes, Orators, Scholars move across the stage in review. Never again will we be assembled together as a class in Washington High, but we will always remember our four years at New London High School. 10
