eawfz0ffccaw F LeBEAU J McDERMOTT President Treasurer K THOMA R GRAEBEL Secretary Vice President dfaeoifwtofzq As seniors walking through these doors for the last time we recall four of the very best years of our 11ves As we leave to go into a new world the same question confronts us as it did the first day of our freshman year What lies ahead? Today we feel confident and prepared to face the new world and become as suc cessful there as we have been during our years at Washington High We remember being timid and green as freshman but we managed to get into line with the rest quickly Our play The Little Red Schoolhouse along with our float was well prepared Ted Algiers was our president and Fran LeBeau LeAnne Hoffmann and Jim Rusch were the other officers Our sophomore year was one of determined school spurt Led by B1ll Krohn as president and Jill Girard Ozzie Wolfe, and Wayne Everts assisting him, we claimed first place on our homecoming float. Love Hits Wilbur also took a first. As juniors we watched Kendall Kloehn and Betty Hutchison reign over the most successful prom Washing- ton High School has ever seen. The officers, Kendall, Darlene Wohlt, Bob Schoening, and Fuzz Manderfield, along with the swell cooperation of the class turned the gym into a beautiful Garden of Roses . We danced to the music of Benny Graham around a wishing well, under a false ceiling of blue crepe paper, centered with a rotating crystal ball. The garden was surrounded by picket fences and trellises decorated with climbing roses and, in the far comer, was a fountain and rock garden. Our class rings were by far the prettiest of all, and we were Iruly pleased with our junior year. We began our senior year electing Fran LeBeau as president and Janice McDermott, Dick Graebel, and Karen Thoma to aid him with our activities. Dolores Sawall was chosen to reign over the homecoming and our homecoming float took first place. We presented a successful play Night of January 16th and all too suddenly found ourselves approaching graduation day. We entered to learn and left going forth to serve. 12
