ff ' Q, St A3 ' X , ' Q i as iq at 52 NEW A ' P toNooN 01 ,I - HIG .SCHOOL , - CLASS OFFICERS Presxdent Ervin Smith Vice Presxdent Robert Putnam Secretary Robert Pfelfer Treasurer John Garot The Class of 1934 HE Second Brlgade boasts the largest membership of any brigade in the N L H S Company Thelr ranks were filled to a hundred and seven ID their first xear of servlce Although their ranks were reduced somewhat durmg that rear they are again well filled and at present a hundred and two are enllsted for trammg last taps have been blown for two of their companv who are at rest Thev are Louis Zltske who went West this last wmter and Ernest Nader who left them last summer After onlv two vears of trammg the brigade have accomplished gallant feats in athletxc tactics On the football field thev have llsted such heroes as Walmer and WIICOX who will be expected to prove theur abxlxtv at lighting for the old N L h S Company durmg the next two years of their training In the basket ball tournament the brlgade fought a terrific battle and came out with second place nearer to the top than any second brigade has ever tried to venture This was accomnllshed bv the1r gallants Kutowskl who has indeed proved his ability McDermott Pfelfer Smlth Frelburger and Wllcox 'Th bug'er Rodnev Platte who led the soldiers to cheer for thelr heroe th b'1tt'e field should not be forgotten In eddltxon to his eiforts 'it d1rect1ng his ovsm brxgade the entire N L H S Comnanv has depended on his rous ng call when the company engaged in competltlve military tactics on home or foreign fields Lou se Demmmg Georgnana LeBeau June Rxckabx and John Garot fought In d am tl nfl public speaking campaigns Harry Wells was the onlv lower class m n represented on the debate squad for the year The entire squad for next year will be buxlt around him Earl m the vear determmed members of the brigade began to assert the'r superior ment l abxhtles and the names of numerous prnvates from thelr brxgade appeared on the Honor Roll until ln the third review Gcorgna Schantz led the N 1. I-I S Company In the fourth review she was agam at the top tied with Delos Hobbs a 1un1or and an honor student of last year In that fourth review every place in the all companv honors was either won or shared by a member of the Sec onrl Brigade for nn addition to Georgias position Privates Jeanette Stern and Vlvlan Huntley moved into second and third positions The success of this brlgade IS due m no small part to their commanding officers Commander In chief Mlss Ann Halsor General Ervln Snuth Flrst Lelutenant Robert Putnam and to their Sergeants Robert Pfelfer and John Garot May they continue their fighting and some day conquer the world' 30 , . , v -- .. .,- - , , , , . -- .. . - . . .
