f if , 1lX l NEW W LONDON r msa scnoor. - CLASS OFFICERS Presldent James Cochrane Vlce Presldent Donald Farrell Secretary Alvm Brault Treasurer Kenneth Anderson The Class of 1932 TTER three years of mllltary tacucs on the battle neld the Fourth Battahon enhsted for thelr last year of tra1n1ng and prepared themselves for the battle held of llfe They feel now that they can look back wxth prlde upon their past campaigns and dnves They have put men on the grxdlron they have sent out members on the debate squad and the basket ball squad as well as mto the muslc department This year however they have put up thelr last hard struggle for thelr Alma Mater Thexr brxgade conslsts of elghty elght soldxers three of whom Cochrane Lbert and Popkey Jomed the ranks th1s year Commander 1n Chxef H H Brock naus commanded the troop whmch was led by thelr general James Cochrane who was assxsted by Donald Farrell as Flrst Lxeutenant and Sergeants Kenneth Ander sen and Alvln Brault The brlgade was led ln prevlous years by such men as ueneral Watson Reuter who has left them wxth an honorary dxscharge to Joln the Jetlerson troop General Leonard Dernbach and General Wesley Calef On their grldlron campalgn they were represented by such gallant heroes as Uernbach who has fought bravely for four years Farrell Noack El: rt Fmger Brown Garot and Felsner One of thelr successful carnpalgns was the Intra Brlgade Basket Ball Tourna ment Thelr soldlers managed to take th xr enemles the Flrst Second and Thlrd Brlgades mto camp and came out wlth the laurels They could not take defeat wlth men fought for thelr Alma Mater as well as for thelr brlgade durmg the basket ball orxve But they find still another vlctory on thexr llst The d bate souad whlch with one exceptxon was made up of Fourth Brlgade prlvatcs conquered the Northeastern wlsconsm Conference and recelved medals for then' bravery Such men as Zxemer Uemmmg Sohrwelde Roepke Palmer and Calef should be mentmned here for thelr herolsm ln that vlctory In addltxon to thus the brigade has many soldlers who have faced Judges on all types of pubhc speakmg platforms Those members of thelr troop who carrled the colors should not 1: forgotten lhe r brlgade was the first to send volunteers Next come those brave soldiers who helped wln many a vlctory for thelr Alma Mater on the grldlron and basket ball floor the band and the orchestra battal lons The brlgade sent out one of the largest numb rs of volunteers at Admiral Hohs call to arms One of thexr members Wesley Calef cheered the entlre com pany by accompanymg them during smgmg perlods Some of thelr successful attempts at ralsmg arms for the M M N were made oy puttmg on a box soclal and conductmg several carmvals One of thelr members Ruby Zxemer was succesful xn the Art Campalgn and upon drawmg for the annual was elected to that staff The brngade has marched on They have learned to tight through defeats fallures and vlctorles They have fought bravely and see them selves nearmg the end of a great battle They take wmth them their password They bxd good bye to thelr old barracks and go forth to conquer a great foe 16 4 . . . - V . .
