SCHOOL DAZE Ca play in four acts! A rims: August 31 1951 to May 12, 1955 eltb PLACE: New fisbon High School SYNGPSTS: ACT I. Twenty-three frightened young students entered the halls of New Lisbon. They successfully lived through their initiation and be- came full-fledged high school members. During their green years they learned many things. They worked their problems. with ABC's Ccalled Algebrab, collected leaves and insects for biology and studied the ways of the upperclassmen. They also sold popcorn at the games toward the money for their Senior trip. ACT II. Twenty-two members were left from their Freshman year . Now they knew their way around and made their grades with more ease. Their boys were on basketball, baseball, and track teams, others were in band and chorus. To add to the money for the trip they sold cokes roses, and strawberries. They were very enthused over their field trip to Cincinnati, Ohio, to visit the Zoo the Train Terminal the Conservatory, and the Museum. To their delight they received their long-awaited class rings. ACT III. Seventeen members still are walking through the familiar halls. By now they had more subjects from which to choose and many took typing and bookkeeping and advanced home ec. For the home ball games popcorn and cokes were sold by the members of the class not par- ticipating in the sport. They were busy too selling magazines and Christmas cards, and they sponsored a paper drive. They received their class sweaters of red with white letters and all members were pleased with them. They presented UComin' Round the Mountainn, a rip-roaring hill-billy comedy. ACT IV. Thirteen members now make up the cast, soon to be joined by a new member from Lewisville, Charles Green. Their last year began with the initiation of the Freshmen. They had their senior pictures taken by William Keever of Farmland, and they began their annual. They sold candy and ice cream to swell the treasury. They gave their senior play, UHe was a Gay Senorita H in October. They lost a member of the class around Christmas time, fila McCubbins, who quit school. The long awaited trip came, and the Juniors and Mr. and Mrs. Hud- dleston accompanied the Seniors on their wonderful trip. Then came Baccalaureate and Class Day. As the curtain slowly comes together, we see thirteen members, the girls in white gowns, and the boys in blue gowns. slowly and carefully walking up the stairs to receive their di- plomas. After being congratulated by Mr. Edington the curtain comes EOEGUDST and that ends the life of the senior class at the New Lisbon Sc ool 9
